Sharon O. Steele, Esq., is the Managing Partner of Steele Law Offices, LLC. Steele Law was founded with the mission of effectively providing large firm legal services to small and mid-sized government contractors, at a reasonable and affordable rate. Sharon is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 20 years of experience representing small government contractors.
Sharon has successfully represented government contractors in administrative protests, GAO bid protests, size protests and appeals, 8(a) and service-disabled veteran-owned small business eligibility challenges, Mentor-Protégé applications, and many other government contracting matters. In addition to assisting government contractors resolve legal disputes, Sharon helps clients address compliance issues arising under the FAR/DFAR, SBA size and affiliation regulations, and other regulations.
Sharon has spoken to audiences across the country on government contracting and small business matters. Sharon has appeared as the legal correspondent on Channel 8, Government Matters discussing federal government contracting.
Before founding Steele Law, Sharon practiced government contracts law in and around the Washington DC metro area with government contractors such as: Lockheed Martin, SAIC and KBR. In addition, Sharon has spent significant time in the Middle East and Africa as legal counsel addressing international regulations and compliance matters.
Sharon is a graduate of James Madison University and Penn State Law and is a member of the Maryland Bar, and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
When she is not practicing law, Sharon supports the arts by serving as President of the Board of Directors, BalletNova, Commissioner with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, and volunteer counselor for Community of Business Partnership.
